Short answer

Most clinics abroad guarantee the work itself, and almost none cover the cost of returning to have it put right. That is the real gap: a five-year warranty is worth what the flights and the time off cost you to claim it. Ask how a claim works from your own country before you ask how long the guarantee lasts.

The full cost, line by line

Typical 2026 prices in GBP. Every part of the bill, not just the advertised one.

What you pay forTurkeyUK
Replacing a failed crownWhat remedial work costs if you have it done at home instead of travelling back.£160£850
Replacing a failed implantRare, but the most expensive thing to put right — and often needs a graft first.£400£2,950
Graft, if the site needs rebuildingSometimes required before a failed implant can be replaced.£200£800

Typical mid-range figures, not quotes. Individual clinics price differently and a CT scan can change what a case needs. Last reviewed 2026-08-16.

What a guarantee actually covers

Read any warranty for two things: what it replaces, and who pays to get you there. Almost all cover the restoration itself — a crown that fractures, an implant that fails to integrate. Almost none cover flights, accommodation or time off work, which for most people is the larger number.

Warranties are also usually conditional on attending check-ups and on the failure not being caused by grinding, smoking or gum disease. Those conditions are reasonable, and they are also where most declined claims sit. Ask for the conditions in writing before you travel, not after.

The cost of fixing it at home instead

Many people who have a problem never go back — they get it dealt with locally, which is why the UK figures above matter more than the guarantee does. Replacing a crown in the UK costs roughly what the original cost abroad several times over, and a UK dentist may reasonably decline to work on another practitioner's implant system if they do not have the components.

That last point is worth more attention than it usually gets. Implant parts are brand-specific. If a clinic uses a system your home dentist cannot get components for, routine maintenance years later becomes a problem regardless of whether anything went wrong. Asking which brand — and checking it is one sold in your own country — is the single most useful question on this whole subject.

Something worth knowing while you're reading: almost every dental decision comes down to two things a price list can't tell you — what condition the surrounding teeth and bone are in, and how permanent you want the result to be. Those are what make two people's treatment for the 'same' problem look completely different.

What's brought you here today?

What we do about it, plainly

We hold your payments rather than passing them straight to the clinic, and if the clinic turns out to be wrong for you the money moves with you to another verified clinic. That protects the booking. It does not, and cannot, guarantee a clinical outcome — nobody can promise that, and any platform that does is telling you something untrue.

What we can do is make sure the clinic has your full file before you fly, that they have confirmed they can do the case, and that the brand they intend to use is written down. Most of what goes wrong is a mismatch nobody checked, not a surgeon having a bad day.
