How do zirconia crown prices in Turkey compare to the UK?

It is tempting to read the three prices above as good, better and best. They are not — they are three materials with different properties. E-max looks the most natural and is the usual choice for front teeth; zirconia is stronger and better suited to molars and to patients who grind; porcelain-fused-to-metal is the cheapest and the one most likely to show a dark margin at the gum line after some years.

A clinic that recommends the same material for every tooth in your mouth has not looked closely at your mouth.

A crown is a laboratory product plus chair time. Turkish clinics generally run their own on-site labs with far lower overheads, which compresses both the lab cost and the turnaround — it is why multiple crowns can be fitted inside a single trip rather than across several weeks.

The material itself is traded globally and is not meaningfully cheaper in Turkey. What differs is labour, premises and lab cost, which is also why the saving on crowns is proportionally larger than the saving on implants, where the component is a bigger share of the bill.

Ask which material, whether the price includes the temporary crown worn between visits, and how many visits are needed. A quote of £130 that excludes the temporary and needs an extra trip is not cheaper than one at £160 that includes both.

Ask about the warranty and, more importantly, how a claim would work from your home country. A five-year guarantee that requires you to fly back at your own expense is a different product from one where a partner practice handles it.
