All-on-4 is the treatment most UK patients ask us about. A full arch of fixed teeth on just four implants — replacing dentures or failing teeth with something permanent. The concept is brilliant. The UK cost is not.

This is one of the most searched questions from UK patients. Here is the honest answer:

One thing that catches people out: full-arch treatment isn't one appointment. The implants have to fuse to the bone before your final teeth go on, so it's usually a first visit, a healing period of a few months, and a second visit. Anyone promising it all in a week is describing the temporary set, not the finished result.

- Day 6–7: Final check before flying home
Healing Period (3–6 months at home)
- Temporary bridge in place — you can eat, talk, and smile normally
- Soft food for first 2 weeks, then gradual return to normal diet
- Follow-up photos via WhatsApp every 4 weeks
- See a UK dentist or hygienist at 6 weeks and 3 months
Trip 2: Final Bridge (3–5 days)
- Day 1: Impressions for final zirconia bridge

Red Flags for All-on-4 Abroad
All-on-4 is a complex surgical procedure. These are non-negotiable requirements:
- CBCT scan mandatory — no clinic should place implants from a panoramic X-ray alone
- Named implantologist — who is doing the surgery? What is their experience with full-arch cases?
- Implant brand must be named — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, MIS, MegaGen, Neodent are the main systems. "We use premium implants" is not an answer.
- Temporary and final bridge included in quote — some clinics quote for surgery only, then charge separately for the prosthetic
- Night-guard included — bruxism is the #1 cause of implant failure in full-arch cases
