Premium Dental Clinics in Turkey
Want Nobel Biocare or Straumann implants in Turkey? Here's how to find genuine premium clinics — and what "premium" actually means beyond the marketing.

Want Nobel Biocare or Straumann implants in Turkey? Here's how to find genuine premium clinics — and what "premium" actually means beyond the marketing.

Not everyone going to Turkey for dental treatment is chasing the cheapest option. A growing segment wants Nobel Biocare implants, Straumann fixtures, or Ivoclar E-max ceramics — the same premium brands used in London or Zurich — but at Turkish prices.

That's entirely possible. The gap between what premium means and what clinics market as premium is where things get complicated.

What Premium Actually Means in Turkish Dentistry

The word "premium" appears on almost every Turkish dental clinic's website. It rarely means much without specifics. Here's what genuinely separates a premium clinic from a mid-market one:

1. Named implant brands with documentation A premium clinic will confirm Nobel Biocare, Straumann, or Astra Tech implants in writing before you book. They'll provide the implant brand, model number, and serial number after placement. Any clinic that deflects this question ("we use European brands") is not using premium implants.

2. JCI accreditation or equivalent Joint Commission International accreditation means a clinic has been independently assessed against international healthcare standards. It's voluntary, expensive to maintain, and not something a low-quality clinic will bother with. It's the closest thing to a quality guarantee that exists in dental tourism.

3. Digital workflow throughout Premium clinics use intraoral scanners (no traditional impression putty), CBCT 3D imaging for implant planning, and CAD/CAM milling for same-day or rapid crown manufacture. These are £50,000–£200,000 equipment investments that budget clinics don't make.

4. Specialist dentists, not generalists Oral and maxillofacial surgeons for implants, prosthodontists for complex crown and veneer cases, periodontists for gum treatment. Budget clinics use general dentists for everything. Premium clinics use specialists.

5. In-house or premium external lab The laboratory that makes your crowns and veneers is as important as the dentist placing them. Premium clinics work with labs using Ivoclar, VITA, or equivalent German/Swiss ceramic systems. Some have in-house labs; others partner with named external labs they'll tell you about.

Premium Implant Brands: What They Cost in Turkey

BrandCountryTurkey Price (per implant)UK PriceTier
Nobel BiocareSweden/USA£600–900£3,200–3,800Premium
StraumannSwitzerland£650–950£3,200–4,000Premium
Astra TechSweden£550–800£2,800–3,500Premium
MISIsrael£350–550£2,500–3,000Mid-range
OsstemSouth Korea£350–500£2,200–2,800Mid-range
MegagenSouth Korea£280–420£1,800–2,500Mid-range

You can get Nobel Biocare implants in Istanbul for £600–900. The same implant in London costs £3,200–3,800. The titanium fixture is identical — manufactured in the same facility, to the same ISO standards. What changes is the overhead charged by the clinic in each country.

How to Verify Premium Claims Before You Book

This is where most patients get burned. The word "Nobel" appears in marketing material; the implant that goes in your jaw is something else.

What to ask:

  1. "Can you confirm in writing which implant brand and model you'll use for my case?"
  2. "Will I receive the implant's serial number and documentation after placement?"
  3. "Are you JCI accredited or do you hold any international quality certification?"
  4. "Which lab makes your crowns and veneers, and what ceramic system do they use?"

A legitimate premium clinic answers all four questions directly. If you get hedged answers ("we use only the best") or the conversation pivots to price, that's your answer.

"I specifically asked for Straumann. They confirmed it in the consultation. I asked again at the start of treatment. The box was opened in front of me. I have the serial number on my discharge summary. That's how it should work." — Patient, Istanbul, 2025

What "Premium" Turkish Clinics Still Can't Do

Even premium Turkish clinics operate in a different regulatory environment from the UK. A few things to know:

Complaints mechanisms are limited. Turkey doesn't have an equivalent to the UK's General Dental Council complaints process. Your primary protection is a written guarantee from the clinic and documentation of everything.

Follow-up complexity. If you need revision work after returning home, you'll need to travel back. Premium clinics with international patient practices typically handle this by offering free or reduced-cost correction visits, but coordinate everything before booking.

Shade consistency between visits. For cases requiring two trips (All-on-4, complex implant cases), there's a small risk of shade variation between temporaries fitted on trip one and permanents fitted on trip two. Premium clinics with calibrated in-house labs minimise this, but it's worth raising explicitly.

How MyDentalFly Vets Premium Claims

We've personally visited or conducted video tours of every clinic on our platform. For clinics claiming premium positioning:

  • We verify accreditation documentation directly
  • We confirm implant brand supply relationships (a clinic genuinely using Nobel Biocare has a supplier account with Envista Holdings)
  • We review before/after photos of actual patients, not stock images
  • We check the dental team's qualifications against the Turkish Dental Association register

Several clinics approached us claiming premium positioning that didn't survive this process. We declined to list them. Directories that list anyone who pays — WhatClinic, Dental Departures — have no equivalent screening. You're on your own to verify claims that turn out to be marketing.

The compare clinics tool shows verified information for each listed clinic: the implant brands they actually use, the certifications they hold, and their pricing. You can compare three clinics side-by-side before making any contact.

The Value Proposition in Numbers

A full-mouth implant case with 8 Nobel Biocare implants and zirconia crowns:

LocationTreatment CostFlights + Hotel (7 days)Total
London (private)£28,000–35,000£28,000–35,000
Istanbul (premium clinic)£6,000–8,500£800–1,200£6,800–9,700
Saving£18,300–28,200

Even using the same Nobel Biocare implants at a premium Istanbul clinic, patients save £18,000–28,000 on a full-mouth case. The quality difference isn't the implant — it's the chair time cost and the postcode.

Next Steps

The candidacy checker tells you in 60 seconds if you're suitable for implants. The dental assessment builds your bespoke dental package — mapping your teeth and matching you with the right clinic. The savings calculator shows verified clinic prices vs home costs.

We've verified every clinic on our platform and removed eight that didn't meet our standards — unlike directories that list anyone who pays. Your dental tourism consultant coordinates everything once you're ready.
