- Most serious implant clinics mill their own zirconia in-house

Single implant — 2 trips
Placement, then 3-6 months healing, then the permanent crown. Some single-implant cases with good bone can be immediate-loaded in one longer trip, but do not plan on it.
Multiple implants — 2 trips
Same two-stage timeline as a single implant. The healing gap is fixed by biology, not by the clinic.
Full arch — 2 trips
First trip: placement and a temporary fixed bridge. Second, after 4-6 months: the permanent zirconia arch. A quote covering only the first trip is a half quote.
Veneers crowns — 1 trip
Usually completed in one visit of 5-7 days. No healing gap, so distance matters far less.

Which country is best for dental implants?+
It depends on how far you are travelling and how many trips you can make, because implants need two visits with 3-6 months of healing between them. Poland suits most UK patients: EU-regulated, implants £400-700, and direct flights from 20+ UK airports so the second trip is a long weekend. Turkey is cheaper at £300-600 but sits outside the EU and is a 4-hour flight. Hungary is the most established market at £450-800. Spain saves the least and rarely justifies travel on cost alone.
Which country is the cheapest for dental implants?+
Turkey, on headline prices — roughly £300-600 for the implant post and abutment, against £2,000-2,500 in the UK. Poland is close behind at £400-700 while staying inside EU regulation. But the cheapest headline price is not always the lowest total cost: implants need a second trip, so two long-haul flights can erase the difference against a destination two hours away.
Is Poland good for teeth implants?+
Yes. Poland is an EU member state, its dentists hold EU-recognised qualifications and register with the Polish Chamber of Physicians and Dentists, and Krakow clinics fit the same implant systems used in UK practices — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Alpha-Bio, MIS and Osstem. Quality varies between clinics in Poland exactly as it does in Britain, so the clinic matters more than the country.
How many trips abroad does dental treatment take?+
Crowns and veneers are normally one trip of 5-7 days. Implants normally take two: placement, then 3-6 months of healing, then the permanent crown or bridge. That healing gap is biology, not scheduling — any clinic promising implants finished in a single trip is describing temporary teeth, not the final result.
Is it safe to get dental work done in the EU rather than Turkey?+
Both can be safe, and both have good and bad clinics. The practical difference is that Poland, Hungary and Spain fall under EU medical device regulation and EU consumer protection, while Turkey does not. Turkish clinic guarantees still apply, but the legal framework behind them differs. If EU regulation matters to you, that narrows the choice to three.
Which dental destination is best if I do not live near London?+
Poland, in most cases. Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan fly direct from more than 20 UK airports including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and Newcastle. Hungary is concentrated on Budapest with fewer regional routes. That difference matters most for implants, where you have to make the journey twice.
