In spring 2025, I underwent a full-mouth restoration at Medicover Clinic in Budapest. It was a major decision for me, and I spent a great deal of time researching clinics across Europe, using tools like Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Gemini. I had shortlisted three clinics and contacted two of them first — but their replies were quite general. What convinced me immediately to choose Medicover was the warm and professional response I received from Bence. I submitted my panoramic X-ray and full-mouth estimate from my Canadian dentist. To my surprise, within a couple of days — and over a weekend — I received a detailed treatment plan prepared by their dentist. The pricing was not only fair but more reasonable than I expected, and the level of communication reassured me that this was a clinic I could trust. The scope of my treatment was extensive: 28 crowns and one bridge, due to significant enamel erosion caused by many years of acid reflux. Fortunately, all the work was done using my own teeth as the foundation — I didn’t need implants or extractions. I should also add that I only looked for positive reviews online to build confidence and intentionally didn’t research too much about the actual procedures, which helped me avoid overthinking. The entire treatment took place over two weeks (14 working days), with breaks between appointments to allow time for rest and healing. Of course, there were many hours spent in the chair, and the procedure was more intense than I anticipated — but at the same time, I had no unrealistic expectations. Communication with the doctor was clear and in English. I especially appreciated the calm professionalism and unspoken kindness I felt from the staff, even in moments when we didn’t speak. In terms of accommodation, I chose to stay at the local apartment hotel recommended by the clinic. It was just a 15-minute walk from the clinic, in downtown Budapest near the Opera House. The apartment was clean, charming, and reasonably priced — a perfect fit for a longer stay. I enjoyed some quiet sightseeing and walking through the city when I felt up to it, which gave a nice balance to the trip. It’s now been two months since the procedure, and I’m happy to say that my healing continues smoothly. There have been no signs of inflammation or complications so far. I’ve been taking very good care of my teeth — brushing, cleaning thoroughly, and eating a mostly soft diet. I’m being cautious with what I eat and drink, but that’s not new for me; I’ve always tried to maintain good dental hygiene. Still, I take even more care now, as I feel a sense of responsibility toward this transformation and the investment I’ve made in my health.

Beware of OVERTREATMENT! I went to have a filling replaced, the doctor told me (before exam) that I will need a root canal AND a crown. I was shocked and told him no, and I hoped that he will see that it was not that bad. Instead he kept drilling and did a root canal anyway. But he only had 40 minutes so he left the whole completely open and sent me home. Of course, the root canal failed so he got to do it again ($) and made a crown, too ($$$). "I told you you will need a crown." The original pain didn't stop, plus now I had a badly overtreated tooth, so I sought a second opinion back home. Turned out, crowns are not automatically needed after a root canal. And I don't think the root canal was needed in the first place. The doctor's name is mentioned in the worst rated reviews here. UPDATE - the place is owned by private equity. I would never have visited if I knew.

I traveled to Budapest to the Medicare Dental Clinic to have a dental bridge performed. I am from the United States (Seattle). Their service from my first contact to completing my first three-session visit to their clinic was first-class and excellent in every way. I now have a temporary bridge, and I will be going back to Budapest for the permanent one in a few months. They were extremely responsive, answered all of my questions, and quickly reviewed my dental records at the outset of contact them. They had a car pick me up at the airport, and they greeted me upon arrival for my first consultation. The facility is modern, extremely clean and modern, and I immediately was made to feel comfortable with a team that cared about my experience. The dentist was exceptionally professional and experienced, and very obviously was an expert in his field. He took all the time with me that I needed to fully explain everything, and the procedure went very well. The cost of the overall procedure, including my travel, will in the end be about 25% of what it would have cost in the USA, and I believe the quality of the dental care at the very least was equal to, and in fact exceeded that of what I would have had in the USA -- and I was able enjoy a wonderful trip to Budapest as part of it! I cannot express enough what a positive, excellent overall experience I have had so far, and I absolutely and enthusiastically recommend the MDental Clinic to anyone interested in receiving top-notch, world-class dentistry at an affordable price.

Medicover Budapest was such a great experience. My wife had her teeth extracted in Bellingham, Washington USA and she was provided with temporary dentures that she could not use. They were a waste of two thousand dollars. She decided that she wanted 4 on 1 implants, but the cost of them in Bellingham was eighty thousand dollars, and out of our price range. After a lot of searching and worry, we decided Medicover would be our best shot. The help we received from Ben, our English as a first language liaison was nothing short of outstanding. Through WhatApp and email, everything was taken care of without any problems. He provided every single scrap of information required. Laurie’s oral surgeon, Dr. Adam Bodnar, was again, outstanding. He spent the time making sure Laurie knew exactly what he would provide. He also took the extra time to ensure she was pain-free and not in any emotional distress. What was so pleasing to me was that the only pain medicine other than during the implant procedure Laurie received was non-narcotic. The day after she received her last four implants, we walked six miles, and she was not in any amount of discomfort. Budapest in an extremely safe city. We spent twenty days during September and October. At no time, day or night did we feel unsafe. Ninety percent of the residence we encountered spoke English. If you or your loved ones need dental services, don’t hesitate, this is first class on a budget.

After researching many dentists in both Turkey and Hungary I decided to go with Mdental in Budapest. Their reviews were excellent and the cost was within my budget. I was assured by both Mdental and Qunomedical that my implants journey would be smooth and I would be 100% satisfied. First visit was in March 2024 to have my teeth extracted and be fitted with temporary dentures. The extraction was fine but the bottom denture was unusable. I was told they would be fixed and sent out to me within the next 2 weeks. They eventually arrived 6 weeks later and still could not be used. My next visit was in July to have the initial screw implants fitted. This surgery also went well but yet again the dentures did not fit my mouth. This was now their 3rd attempt to get this right, which they didn’t. My last visit was in December 2024 to be fitted with the end product. I had now gone 10 months without any structure to my bottom jaw and unable to eat anything other than soft foods but again I was assured the end product would be perfect. I was extremely pleased with the end result, the teeth looked and felt amazing. However this lasted 4 days. One of the bottom teeth chipped within a couple of days, one top front tooth broke on Christmas Eve, another bottom one chipped a few days later. The prosthetic gum on the top teeth also started to fall apart and yesterday the other top front tooth broke. All within a month of having the product fitted. I have been advised by Mdental to come back to sort out the issues but they will not cover the costs of flights or hotel. I have no choice but to go back because my teeth look god awful. If anyone wants any further information please leave a message on this post. I will be happy to show you all the photos
