All-on-6 follows the same principle as All-on-4 but uses six implants instead of four to support a full arch of replacement teeth. The two additional implants provide extra stability and distribute biting forces more evenly, which can be beneficial for patients with stronger bites or those who want a zirconia prosthesis (which is heavier than acrylic). The procedure begins the same way: a thorough CT scan and consultation, followed by a surgical appointment where remaining teeth are removed if necessary and six implants are placed. A temporary fixed set of teeth is attached on the same day. After three to six months of healing, you return for the permanent prosthesis. All-on-6 is often recommended for the upper jaw, where bone density can be lower and additional implant points provide better long-term support.
